54. Your Old Podcast Episodes Are Still Making Sales
A client of mine took 13 months off from her podcast. No new episodes or promotion, nothing. When she came back, I pulled her numbers and she had 2,400 downloads in the time she was completely gone. One month alone had 500.
That is exactly what I want to talk about today.
There is this assumption that your podcast only works when you are actively working it, that if you are not recording or promoting, nothing is happening. But that is not how this works. Every episode you put out has a permanent home, a permanent URL, and it is sitting there right now being searched, found, and listened to by people you have never met.
In this episode, I'm sharing what is happening between your episodes, why podcast content compounds in a way that social media simply cannot, and what that means for the trust that is building with listeners you do not even know exist yet. I also share my own experience of hiring a coach almost entirely because of her podcast, and why that story is exactly what is possible for you.
Your podcast is working right now. The question is just how well it is built to do the job.
